So how does this all work?

Sessions are held within the first 14 days after birth. Once you decide to book with me, I will put you tentatively in my calendar to secure your spot that month. Then I ask that once baby is born, please contact me within the first two days to get your session scheduled. The day before our session I will send out a prep guide to help our session run as smoothly as possible.

When should I book?

I can only take a limited number of newborn sessions a month, so it’s best to schedule as early as possible.

Sessions are most successful when held within the first 5-14 days, as babies are still sleepy and quite flexible. If you’ve missed that window, don’t worry! We can still capture beautiful photos, but the session would focus more on wrapped poses and we might not get through as many poses as a true newborn would.

Are family and sibling poses included?

Yes, I do offer family and sibling poses as part of your newborn session. We typically do these photos first so that siblings are still on their best behavior and haven’t lost interest in the session.

After family and sibling poses are done, you are more than welcome to take your other children home so they don’t get bored and aren’t in the way. If you are not able to take them home, I do have a couch and TV in the adjoining room so they can be out there with parent supervision while baby finishes their part of the session. Please note that a session typically takes 2-3 hours, so please plan snacks, activities, etc. accordingly.

Pets are also able to be included in a session with prior approval.

Do you photograph Twins?

Yes! I have taken pictures for one set of twins. I do not charge extra for multiples, but please note that these sessions may take longer than normal as there are two babies to photograph.

Do you Provide Props?

I provide all the props that we will need. This includes wraps, headbands, bonnets, furs, and blankets. I have spent a large amount of time collecting a wide variety of items to use in my studio.

Can I bring something I already own?

I am more than happy to accommodate something in your session that is of sentimental value. I just ask that you send me a picture of the item you want included ahead of time so that I can best prepare for how to use it, if possible. I do recommend that parents not buy their own headbands and outfits. These are often too large for a newborn, even if they are marketed as newborn size. I really do have everything we will need in my studio!

Do you offer other sessions?

Yes, I offer a large variety of sessions. In addition to the traditional newborn session in my studio, I also offer Fresh 48 sessions in the hospital, as well as lifestyle sessions in your home. I do milestone sessions, which can be done in a package through my Watch Me Grow program. In addition to milestone sessions, I also offer family and senior sessions. At this time, I do not offer engagement or wedding photography. I love being able to grow with your family, so please contact me to meet any of your other photography needs!
