It’s not super often that I’m in front of the camera, but when you’re mother-in-law wants updated family pictures for Mother’s Day, we make it happen! We had already planned a family vacation to Colorado, and we soon decided that we would have to take our pictures out there. I mean, there’s not much prettier than a Colorado mountain-scape.
With rain in the forecast about every day, we lucked out with the most perfectly cloudy day a photographer could ask for. We headed out to Lake Dillon and drove up to Sapphire Point. Guys, this place is breathtakingly beautiful, as I’m sure you’ll notice in our pictures. We were able to knock out both family pictures and engagement pictures for Erin and Chad, which you’ll have to stay tuned for soon!
And I can’t forget to mention the chipmunks. Oh, those chipmunks! As we walked in, the basically swarmed at our feet. I’ve included a fun “chipmunk feeding session” collage at the end of the blog so we never forget how friendly and hungry those little guys were. Try to see if you can find some extras photo-bombing our family pictures- there are quite a few!
I love these people so much. From the very beginning they’ve welcomed me into their family with open arms, and I’ve so enjoyed seeing where all these years have led us. It makes me even more excited to see what lies ahead of us in all the years to come (hopefully a lot more grandkids for Dan and Theresa!).
