A full confession before I continue, Elise in not a senior, she's technically only a junior. But she was the closest I could come up with on such short notice and I think she totally rocked it!

Like I said, this shoot was very short notice. I'd mentioned something to her and her mom that I would like to practice senior portraits and asked if she would be interested. Then last week, we started talking about it again and before the day was over I was at her house taking her pictures!

I can't stress enough how good photo locations are everywhere around us. The main question I get is "where do you think we should take pictures?" These pictures were taken at Elise's house, a lot of them in her yard or just across the road from her house. You don't have to look far for good locations for your session.

Next we went across the road to the wheat field planted by Elise's house. I loved the soft haze the sun behind her made.

Then it was to Elise's backyard. I loved the winding steps they had from their walkout to the upstairs of the house, and the brick wall lining the walkout was perfect for some serious serious face.

Then we went just right across the road to this gravel road and little red barn.

We had so much fun taking these, and I hope that when Elise is a senior next year, she lets me come back and take some more!
